Being Grateful

There are many things I am grateful but the other night I felt a unique feeling in the pit of my stomach. It was like this very warm fuzzy feeling that caused tears of joy.

Lately I've had worries about our future hopes to extend our family and whether that road will be a long or shorter time. I know I am over thinking it and not letting God do his thing but I can't help it. But the other night when I had all those thoughts running like crazy suddenly they stopped when I walked into our bedroom watching Eddie sleep next to Missy and Caleb (our dogs). Suddenly I felt a deep gratitude for standing there in that minute enjoying that moment. I felt blessed to have Eddie in my life, my best friend who I've grown up through bad and good times. Then are my pups Caleb who has been with me for about nine years getting older with me, always loving me and teaching me about patiance. And finally is Missy, the newbie in our family who's brought an energetic energy to our home who is cuddly, spunky and crazy at times but yet balances all of our personalities.

When I changed my perspective and focused my energy on the present it helped me quiet my head. Once that silence comes over finally your worries subside and the idea of no longer trying to control an outcome or worrying about what it should be gives a power of much gratitude.

Perhaps another day same things will pop up but I know the more and more I practice gratitude the easier it will be to stop worrying and just let things be.

Take a minute and think about what you are grateful at this very minute no matter how big or small. Share them here or thru Twitter or Facebook
