Travel Journal: Running in LA

This past weekend I spend time in L.A just relaxing, getting some sun and putting some miles on my running shoes. Usually the BF and I just go there for quick trips to get away. We stayed at The Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles Downtown, our favorite hotel to stay down there since is close to our usual spots we like to hang out. Did I mention this weekend the weather was beautiful high 70s to 80s degree?! So Thank you LA!!

On Friday and Saturday morning we went to the Hollywood sign to the Hollyridge Trail for a 6 mile run. If you are in the area I would recommend this spot for a run or nice hike and the best part is that it is doggy friendly too. We usually start our run from Beachwood Drive and then take the trail to continue to Griffith Observatory which gives you some uphills but the majority of trail is downhill. Coming back up wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I felt so proud of myself going up hills and not stopping until the entire trail was over.

Last weekend I began to feel some discomfort on my leg foot but even though I felt it I still went out there to run. After running this weekend that discomfort got more annoying. I am resting this week and icing my foot and what I am beginning to worry is that it is my heels that are bothering me. I am hoping my heels will feel better but will keep you posted.
